EPOS: SOUNDSCAPE FOR THOUSANDS
Epos: soundscape for thousands is an activation of The peo-ple cried mer-cy in the storm, a site specific sculpture by Allison Janae Hamilton at Storm King Art Center. Epos: soundscape for thousands is at once a lamentation and a war cry, which calls forth the memory of those who perished in the 1928 Okechobee Hurricane. Surrounding Hamilton’s towering sculpture, the performance includes members of The Dream Unfinished performing a soundscape arranged in collaboration with composer Jeff Scott.
Epos: soundscape for thousands performances are on October 14th and 28th, 2018. The peo-ple cried mer-cy in the storm is on view at Storm King Art Center from May 19 - November 11, 2018.
