The Land of Milk or Honey
In a continuation of the epic storyline in the series Sweet milk in the badlands., The Land of Milk or Honey casts an eye toward issues of environmental and cultural sustainability within a rural context. The series includes a video of the same name in which Hamilton, in character, rides horseback through an apocalyptic landscape that reflects a struggle for survival in the aftermath of a long-fought battle over place. The animal remains that make up the sculptural objects offer a set of totemic signifiers that organize the mythological and narrative components embedded within the land.
